Indian cricket Prince Shubman Gill, who was born on 8 September 1999. He is encouraged to play cricket with local boys by his father, Lakhwinder Singh, who built a cricket pitch for him to practice on their farm. In his second first-class match later that month, batting for Punjab against Services, he made his first century. He scored 129 runs in the Bengals’ game.

Gill was selected to lead the India C squad in the Deodhar Trophy competition for the 2019–20 season in October 2019. He became the youngest cricket player to captain a team in the competition in November 2019.
International Career
He plays in the Indian U-19 team’s series victory over the England U-19 squad in February 2017. He was selected as India’s Vice captain for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2017. With 372 runs scored, he led the squad in runs scored during the tournament and was selected as the player of the tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) selected Gill as the team’s emerging star after India’s tournament matches.
He was included in the India team for the limited-overs stages of their series against New Zealand in January 2019. He played in the fourth One Day International (ODI) match of the series against New Zealand at Seddon Park, Hamilton, on January 31, 2019, marking his debut for India in the format. He was included in India’s Test team squad in February 2020, this time for their series against New Zealand. On December 26, 2020, Gill played his first Test match for India against Australia. On January 3, 2023, Gill played in his first Twenty20 International match against Sri Lanka.He was acquired by the Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹1.8 crore in the January 2018 Indian Premier League auction.
